Cooling Down?

"In fact, Dr. Tanaka said, one study of cyclists concluded that because lactic acid is good, it is better not to cool down after intense exercise. Lactic acid was turned back into glycogen, a muscle fuel, when cyclists simply stopped. When they cooled down, it was wasted, used up to fuel their muscles."

This is interesting.

After my first 3 CX races I felt like hell the next day. I did minimal cool down. At Rainier I did like a 10-15 min cool down and felt great the next day. But last night at BDatD I did barely any cool down and feel fine. But I also finished below my LT. My results are inconclusive.
