nice choice. good luck
I have a Rollei 35 which was hot stuff when I got it in the 70s. Pretty much used it for outdoor B&W. I don't develop and it's a pain to get B&Ws done now. I moved to a nice Sony pocket camera. It went on sabbatical to India a couple of years ago and has been living in a backpack ever since. I got her Nikon D40 in exchange. A pain. I'm going to break down for another compact digital. Less than $300. Suggestions?
My Pops has that same Rollei. I think that when film became a pain in the ass, he stopped using it-- But what an awesome little camera.
Spend $400 and get a Panasonic Lumix LX3. Not shirt-pocketable, but it will fit nicely into a jacket or jersey pocket, and are just a (small) step below a good dslr.
That's what I'm saving for.
